Starting with 1958, in Cazaclia village, began to operate the wine factory “Kazayak Vin”, which gradually, thanks to the quality of the wine, becomes known throughout Moldova and Europe. After surviving the crisis of the ’90s, in 1997 a new stage began, when French entrepreneurs showed their interest in this region, located at the same latitude as the famous French Bordeaux. The mild climate, the soil saturated with micro-elements and salts create excellent conditions for growing grapes. Thus appeared the Moldovan-French wine production company, equipped with the most modern technologies, which preserves the useful microelements of grapes.
The main distinction of this gagauzianwinery, according to the masters, is the biological protection against pests in the living, which helps the geese. These birds roam freely among the vines, fighting with the pests while saturating the soil with nitrogen.
During the tour of the “Kazayak Vin” winery you will taste wines from the south, you will get acquainted with the traditional dishes. The tasting room has been recently renovated, being decorated in the style of an old cellar, with elements of stone and wood – an oak table, barrel-shaped chairs and stone door.
